Bear in Town (2005)
Most of the time the bears of
Tenakee Inlet (which outnumber the humans) live in harmony with the residents of
the small community. Both take precautions to avoid the other, but there are
exceptions. The first sign that there is a bear nearby is the dogs, large and
small, smell them and sound the alarm. In this painting a resident brown bear
has gotten too comfortable being in town. The dogs have warned the humans who
see what all the commotion is about. The smartest person in this scene is the
kid running like mad in the opposite direction.
