Good to Very good: margins somewhat grubby (would be covered by mount/mat); short tear right edge well outside of image area.
Note: In 1898 the works of Vincent Brooks, Day & Son—the usual lithographers for Vanity Fair magazine—burned down. Afterwards, a few prints, including this one, were printed by P.W. van de Weyer in Utrecht, Holland. They used the "colortype" offset printing method. Thus, this print does have a "dot pattern" unlike the continuous tone of the earlier and later stone lithographs. |
