Pelican Fuel Dock (2006)
edition size: 600
Image Size: 24 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches
"A number of years ago I spent several weeks in the picturesque fishing village of Pelican, sketching most everything in sight! I've done a number of paintings from my sketches and most recently, Pelican Fuel Dock.
People asked me, 'Why are all those oil drums lined up on the dock?' I had no clue. I called several people from Pelican and finally got an answer from a long time friend. 'Waste fuel' she said, 'from fishing boats and other vessels is stored in them and periodically hauled away.'"
